The village of Villars has a boulangerie, post office and village store.  Local markets are held in Nontron, Brantôme and Thiviers, which are all within 30 minutes drive.  All three towns also have banking, post office and supermarket facilities.  Perigueux, within 45 minutes drive, is the busy regional capital, and offers much in the way of history, shopping and gastronomy to enjoy.
